Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms cover your use of the RackRead app and this website. By using RackRead, you agree to them.

What RackRead is

RackRead is a coaching and practice tool. It reads a photo of a pool table and suggests a sequence of shots, and it provides simulated tables, drills, and puzzles for practice.

It is advice, not certainty

RackRead's reads are generated by an AI model from a photograph. They can be wrong. Ball positions can be misjudged, a shot it likes may not be the best one available, and a layout it declines to read may be perfectly playable.

Treat every suggestion as a second opinion from a knowledgeable friend — worth hearing, not beyond question. You are responsible for the shots you choose to play.

Competition and league play

Most leagues, tournaments, and casual money games prohibit outside assistance during a match. It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules of any competition you enter. We are not responsible for penalties, forfeits, disqualifications, or lost wagers arising from your use of the app.

Your account

You need an account to use most features. Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use RackRead.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Your content

The photos you upload remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to process them — storing them in your history and sending them for analysis — and nothing more. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your photos to advertise the app without asking you first.

Subscriptions and payment

Availability and changes

We are still building RackRead. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. We will avoid removing things you rely on without notice, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service.

Liability

RackRead is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending things

You may stop using RackRead and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop operating the service.
