Privacy Policy

Last updated:

RackRead is a pool and billiards coaching app. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

What we collect

Account information

Your email address and a display name, so you can sign in and so your progress follows you between devices. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never see or store your password.

Photos you submit

When you ask RackRead to read a table, the photo you choose is uploaded and sent for analysis. We only ever access the specific images you select — the app cannot browse your photo library, and camera access is used only while you are taking a picture in the app.

Gameplay and progress

Your analyses, XP, level, streak, daily puzzle results, RackRating, and any challenges you create or accept. This is what makes the history, leaderboard, and weakness heat map work.

Subscription status

Whether you have an active Pro subscription, provided by RevenueCat. Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive your card details.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or any biometric data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Who your data is shared with

These are the only third parties involved, and each has a job:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Analyses and their images are kept in your history until you delete them or delete your account. Account and progress data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our systems, and backups age out on their normal cycle.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, port, or restrict the processing of your data — including under the GDPR (EEA/UK) and the CCPA (California). Write to us and we will honour those requests.

Children

RackRead is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Database access is protected by row-level security so that your records are reachable only by you. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
